Alpina Versatile Mips is a versatile helmet designed for skiers and snowboarders who require maximum protection, comfort and adaptability, regardless of the terrain or weather conditions. Due to its lightweight construction and removable components, it is also suitable for ski touring (removable ear pads).

Description
MIPS: Multi-Directional Impact Protection System is a technology that reduces the rotational forces that occur when falling or hitting the head. In the event of an impact on the helmet, the hard outer shell first acts. Then the inner foam shell compresses, which presses against the MIPS layer. Since the friction between the two layers is very low, the shell does not press against the head, but slides slightly in the direction of the impact. This movement is enough to drastically reduce the force and thus the consequences of a head impact.
Hybrid technology: high protection and low weight and optimal shock absorption
HI-EPS: The inner frame of Alpina helmets is made of HI-EPS (highly expanded polystyrene). This material consists of microscopic air spaces that effectively absorb the forces generated by an impact.
Ceramic shell: the name for the outer shell of all Alpina helmets made with the Inmold process. It is a thin, lightweight material that is extremely resistant to impacts and scratches, contains UV stabilizers and is antistatic.
Edge protect: additionally reinforced edges protect the helmet from impacts
Airstream control: allows for optimal ventilation and comfort. The helmet has 12 vents!
Run system: allows for individual size adjustment with a rotating knob on the back
Fidlock: magnetic buckle for fastening the helmet under the chin offers faster fastening and one-handed release
Y-Clip: 3D strap adjustment system
