The Yonex ASTROX 77 badminton racket is a slightly heavier racket with a larger head. ASTROX 77 uses the world's first graphite material of a new dimension, Namd, which greatly improves the adhesion of graphite fibers and resin by attaching the nanomaterial directly to the graphite fibers.

In high-performance rackets, nanomaterials are usually combined with a resin that binds the graphite fibers together, but in Namd, the nanomaterials are directly glued to the graphite fibers, so the degree of adhesion between the graphite fibers and the resin is greatly increased. This significant improvement allows the shaft to flex and store energy and deliver explosive force when struck with the racket.

From the player's initial movement to impact, the graphite of the new dimension is difficult to solidify, and the shaft stretches and accumulates energy due to the speed of the fast swing. Because there is less follow-up to the swing after a direct hit with the racket, swing speed is reduced and the new dimension graphite regains hardness and strengthens the shaft's resistance, allowing energy to explode quickly before returning to its original state.

Using counterweight theory, weight is distributed across the end of the handle, top of the frame and joint for maximum control. The transition to the next stroke can be done smoothly in quick succession.
